Editing Blog: the Catch
Editing this project was especially hard to do. With all the different shots we took for this, I couldn't remember which ones I wanted to use. I kept on getting them mixed up. On top of that my editing soft where was acting up. It kept on buffering and playing all my clips super slow. I tried to restart my computer an that still didn't work. One thing that finally worked was saving my project and closing it. Once I opened it back up it seemed to work well. finding background music was also a problem. It was hard to find some that suited my commercial. Also converting it into a specific file was a little tricky. When I got it to work it would play to loud. Then I had to figure out how to get into the properties menu, which wasn't the easiest. There are so many different little things you can do to edit and can get very complicated. When trying to make the transitions it was hard to make it not choppy. Since all the shots are so small it makes it more complicated. Making the ending scene didn't turn out to how I liked it though. I was shooting for one with a black background and making it nice clear slow motion. But that's easier said than done. The slow motion didn't work to well, it was very blur and choppy. Some other small problems happened when I was editing but I got through them all. Editing isn't my favorite thing in the world but I think it turned out pretty well. It can always be better, with my technology I think I did well.
