Music Video CCR

1.In this music video I think the genre of music that I chose is very common with my other classmates. This is the type of music most of us listen to so you can imagine what songs they chose, probably ones pretty similar to mine. The detail that differs mine from theirs is the fact that for all my project so far this one included have come from me and only me. Other people have groups that they can rely on for help, but I don't have that pro. I have the con of only having a single person work on this and a limited time compared to the others as well. For thanksgiving break I wasn't aloud to bring my computer up because my parents would think I would be on it the whole time. That's a week off my time that I have to do. Now on my music video itself I think the filming style is very different than anyone else. It would be hard to believe that other people filmed the way I did, with high angle shots and shots where I have to set my phone up. I had to film this way because I was alone. This already rules out a lot of people.

2. My product engages with the audience in a couple ways, by the popular music it has, and the emotion it gives off. Ill start with the music choice, I know a lot of kids that love to listen to frank ocean. they would even call him their favorite artist. I don't need to mention that the song I chose was one of his biggest hitters. They would connect to this video when their hearing their favorite artist, favorite song, or maybe even just a song they like. Now onto the second reason, the emotion it gives off. A lot of kids and people in general are isolated and alone right now because of the pandemic. I think this song captivates that feeling perfectly. Being stuck in your room all the time. All I'm doing in the video is trying to find something to do while in my room. Which is what I imagine a lot of people are doing as well. This video would definitely be distributed on some social media app or website. One like YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, or anything like those. Those are places music videos are firstly introduced. if it were popular maybe it would be in adds or commercials on Tv.

3. My skills developed through this project mostly on the way I film. I've learned a few new ways to film as well as make it easier. My favorite being the high angle shot, this took a lot of time to think on how to do. I had to try a few different ways and fail before I got it to work. This shot really adds a lot to my whole video. Me laying on my bed listening to music throwing a football to myself. Really shows how board I am in the situation. I also got better at adding in background music to my videos. I found a really good site that works almost every time, of course you get some bugs every once in a while.

4. I could have integrated a lot more technology into this project if possible. But all I used were my phone and computer as far as technology. In software though I used a lot more. As I stated before I found a really good site to change videos to mp3 files so you can add them to your project. I also used my usual app to import my files off of my phone to my computer. And lets not forget most importantly my editing software, where the magic happens.
