Intro Blog

 For this project I'm going to be working by myself. I'm still  not able to see people right now because of the the pandemic. I wish I was able to work with friends on this, it would make it easier and help out with the workload. Working in a group is better in a lot of ways, for example, when you have more people the work is split up. There are more people that can help with creating the theme and storyboard of the film. There are also more people to help type work up and film the project. But, there are also a few drawbacks to having a group. Since you have a group to work with you have to rely and trust that your partners will pull through and finish all the work assigned to them. This happens a lot in groups, one group member fails to do his part. with him not completing his part another member must take on his work to finish. Also if a person isn't able to go certain places or is to far the group is restricted to an area. There are pros and cons to both options. I had my reasons like I stated before for working alone. I think I am a organized person and capable of working alone. I would have liked to work in a group and thought it would be a lot of fun, but ill just have to wait till the next one. This is the final project, I am looking forward to how it will turn out. I think I will do well on it and get a good grade. I have a few good ideas for my topic. But the execution for these topics are going to be hard. Ill find a way to make it happen though, I'm positive.

Film day #2 Part 1

 Today is our second day of filming for this project. We had planned to get some extra work done today. First things first I had to get ready for Sonalis house. All I had to do was get changed, grab cloths, and get over there. After gathering everything up I headed over to Sonalis to get to work. When I got to Sonalis we started to discuss what we had to do. We had a few different ideas what to start with. We decided to start with some of our long takes. These were takes that were hard to follow the script for. so for most of these we improvised what we were saying but still staying on the topic. A long take in my opinion is one that was more than 30 seconds. We had a good amount of these scenes. The reason for so many long takes is because of how long our film was. If we had only small scenes it would make it a lot harder to meet our time requirement. These long shots were  actually pretty fun in my opinion.   Schedule March 2nd - I will start finalizing all my plans and ideas for filming and let my film crew know I will start soon. March 4th - I will start filming the beginning scenes that I only need to set my phone up somewhere. For example scenes like the beginning scenes that the credits will flow over. March 7th - I will finish up the filming that I can do alone and start to focus on the bigger scenes and shots. My parents and siblings will be the film crew that will help me here and there.  March 12th-15th - During this time I plan on finishing up most of the filming that I need to do. There will be some scenes that I want to switch out and redo, so this will not be the last time filming.  March 16th - I will start to upload all my shots and clips to OpenShot. This is my editing soft where that I will be using.  March 18th - After uploading all of my shots, I will look at all of my shots to see if they are good or not.   What titles are displayed in the opening sequences? The 20th century Fox is shown in the very beginning of the film. There is also the name that shows up after few scenes. The movie starts off at a zoo it looks like. There are a few credit scenes that show up with actors and important roles. What images are prioritized during the opening sequences? Images with animals are heavily prioritized in the beginning of the film. showing beautiful animals prancing and moving around everywhere. What connotations do these images carry? These images carry a free and fresh connotation. They have cute animals jumping around in front of the cammera. How does the film establish a feeling from the genre from the outset?
