  What titles are displayed in the opening sequences?

The name of the movie "Cast Away" is displayed in the opening sequence. The movie starts off with a POV of a package being mailed from one person to another. After a few mailing scenes we reach the main character, Tom Hanks. He seems to be a big figure in his company at Fedex. 

What images are prioritized during the opening sequences?

Images like Pov scenes and shots showing lots of characters are prioritized. We get to see a lot of people in the opening sequence.

What connotations do these images carry?

These images carry a busy but steady flow of life. They show a bunch of guys during their jobs normally.  You can sense a little bit of ramped energy and power from Tom because of his job status I'm guessing.

How does the film establish a feeling from the genre from the outset?

In the begging I don't see a lot of correlation between the scenes and the genre at all. There really isn't a lot of clues to it being a drama/survival. 

What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience?

Strategies used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience are very hard to point out in this opening sequence. It is fairly generic and slow start. But you could say that the audience used the preview to know what it is about.

How has technology been used effectively?

Technology was used effectively with a lot of shots throughout the film. There were a lot of high angle shots showing his surroundings off.

Film day #2 Part 1

 Today is our second day of filming for this project. We had planned to get some extra work done today. First things first I had to get ready for Sonalis house. All I had to do was get changed, grab cloths, and get over there. After gathering everything up I headed over to Sonalis to get to work. When I got to Sonalis we started to discuss what we had to do. We had a few different ideas what to start with. We decided to start with some of our long takes. These were takes that were hard to follow the script for. so for most of these we improvised what we were saying but still staying on the topic. A long take in my opinion is one that was more than 30 seconds. We had a good amount of these scenes. The reason for so many long takes is because of how long our film was.   Schedule March 2nd - I will start finalizing all my plans and ideas for filming and let my film crew know I will start soon. March 4th - I will start filming the beginning scenes that I only need to set my phone up somewhere. For example scenes like the beginning scenes that the credits will flow over. March 7th - I will finish up the filming that I can do alone and start to focus on the bigger scenes and shots. My parents and siblings will be the film crew that will help me here and there.  March 12th-15th - During this time I plan on finishing up most of the filming that I need to do. There will be some scenes that I want to switch out and redo, so this will not be the last time filming.  March 16th - I will start to upload all my shots and clips to OpenShot. This is my editing soft where that I will be using.  March 18th - After uploading all of my shots, I will look at all of my shots to see if they are good or not.   What titles are displayed in the opening sequences? The 20th century Fox is shown in the very beginning of the film. There is also the name that shows up after few scenes. The movie starts off at a zoo it looks like. There are a few credit scenes that show up with actors and important roles. What images are prioritized during the opening sequences? Images with animals are heavily prioritized in the beginning of the film. showing beautiful animals prancing and moving around everywhere. What connotations do these images carry? These images carry a free and fresh connotation. They have cute animals jumping around in front of the cammera. How does the film establish a feeling from the genre from the outset? The film showing a lot of wilderness may something that establishes the genre.
