Production Blog: House Setup

 Last time I was taking some shots from my roof. After taking some of the title shots now I'm planning on starting up some of the actual scenes. This week I want to get a few of the starting scenes with just me. So I wont need to have anyone else help me with filming. I have a lot of work this week. There is a quarter test for math and it is a big grade. I need to do good on it so I don't have to much time. All of my math work will be done by this Friday. So this weekend is when I can get some filming done. I want to do the scene where I am packing up my gear and equipment for my trip. I need to find something to set my phone up on to get a better angle. Without it its to low of an angle to get me with all my bags in it. There is a counter there so I think I can put a chair or stool up on the counter. Worst can scenario I can just ask someone to film it fore me. I have a feeling that this is going to take a lot of shots to get right. I'm not the best at acting or anything so I hope I can get it how I want it. I'm also going to need to gather my props. I need some water bottles and some filled bags. I live alone and don't have a lot of money so I'm gonna make them look worn out if I can. other than that I don't need much, I cant really change my house to look all messy and dirty.

Film day #2 Part 1

 Today is our second day of filming for this project. We had planned to get some extra work done today. First things first I had to get ready for Sonalis house. All I had to do was get changed, grab cloths, and get over there. After gathering everything up I headed over to Sonalis to get to work. When I got to Sonalis we started to discuss what we had to do. We had a few different ideas what to start with. We decided to start with some of our long takes. These were takes that were hard to follow the script for. so for most of these we improvised what we were saying but still staying on the topic. A long take in my opinion is one that was more than 30 seconds. We had a good amount of these scenes. The reason for so many long takes is because of how long our film was.   Schedule March 2nd - I will start finalizing all my plans and ideas for filming and let my film crew know I will start soon. March 4th - I will start filming the beginning scenes that I only need to set my phone up somewhere. For example scenes like the beginning scenes that the credits will flow over. March 7th - I will finish up the filming that I can do alone and start to focus on the bigger scenes and shots. My parents and siblings will be the film crew that will help me here and there.  March 12th-15th - During this time I plan on finishing up most of the filming that I need to do. There will be some scenes that I want to switch out and redo, so this will not be the last time filming.  March 16th - I will start to upload all my shots and clips to OpenShot. This is my editing soft where that I will be using.  March 18th - After uploading all of my shots, I will look at all of my shots to see if they are good or not.   What titles are displayed in the opening sequences? The 20th century Fox is shown in the very beginning of the film. There is also the name that shows up after few scenes. The movie starts off at a zoo it looks like. There are a few credit scenes that show up with actors and important roles. What images are prioritized during the opening sequences? Images with animals are heavily prioritized in the beginning of the film. showing beautiful animals prancing and moving around everywhere. What connotations do these images carry? These images carry a free and fresh connotation. They have cute animals jumping around in front of the cammera. How does the film establish a feeling from the genre from the outset?
