Production Blog: Final Steps

 Coming down to the last few days of this project is a little stressful. It is a very big part of our grade and effects if I pass this class. So why wouldn't I be nervous about this. I have just finished up filming everything and only have a little bit of editing left to do. The last few scenes are ones which I need to take the boat out. I haven't had to many chances to do this so it was postponed. Now my dad can help me with this so it'll be a lot easier. He will help move some stuff around, and also help film. It is only the last about 15 seconds of the film but it is really important. I think this will give me a lot more to edit. I might go over the time and have to cut out some scenes. I don't know how much filming this part is going to take. We might have to retake it a few times. Or even cut out some of the shots. There is always stuff to change and move around. This is my last production blog of this project. I went through many steps and a long process to get here. I think the project is going to turn out very good. I worked hard on it and learned a lot of new skills to compliment that. It was a fun journey, and I hope people watching my film enjoy it as much as I did.

Film day #2 Part 1

 Today is our second day of filming for this project. We had planned to get some extra work done today. First things first I had to get ready for Sonalis house. All I had to do was get changed, grab cloths, and get over there. After gathering everything up I headed over to Sonalis to get to work. When I got to Sonalis we started to discuss what we had to do. We had a few different ideas what to start with. We decided to start with some of our long takes. These were takes that were hard to follow the script for. so for most of these we improvised what we were saying but still staying on the topic. A long take in my opinion is one that was more than 30 seconds. We had a good amount of these scenes. The reason for so many long takes is because of how long our film was. Final Task: More Info

  Schedule March 2nd - I will start finalizing all my plans and ideas for filming and let my film crew know I will start soon. March 4th - I will start filming the beginning scenes that I only need to set my phone up somewhere. For example scenes like the beginning scenes that the credits will flow over. March 7th - I will finish up the filming that I can do alone and start to focus on the bigger scenes and shots. My parents and siblings will be the film crew that will help me here and there.  March 12th-15th - During this time I plan on finishing up most of the filming that I need to do. There will be some scenes that I want to switch out and redo, so this will not be the last time filming.  March 16th - I will start to upload all my shots and clips to OpenShot. This is my editing soft where that I will be using.  March 18th - After uploading all of my shots, I will look at all of my shots to see if they are good or not.   What titles are displayed in the opening sequences? The 20th century Fox is shown in the very beginning of the film. There is also the name that shows up after few scenes. The movie starts off at a zoo it looks like. There are a few credit scenes that show up with actors and important roles. What images are prioritized during the opening sequences? Images with animals are heavily prioritized in the beginning of the film. showing beautiful animals prancing and moving around everywhere. What connotations do these images carry? These images carry a free and fresh connotation. They have cute animals jumping around in front of the cammera. How does the film establish a feeling from the genre from the outset?
