Production Blog: Start of Editing

 I just now uploaded all of my previous scenes onto my editing software. I'm still pretty swollen from my wisdom teeth removal so no new filming has come from me. I still think it will be a few more days until I can get the rest of my filming done. I'm planning for this upcoming weekend if my dad will help me film. But other than that I took yesterday and took time to upload all of my scenes that I filmed so far. I had more than I originally thought so it took a little while to load in. Then I went to picking out the scenes that I liked and wanted to use. There were a few scenes that were close in comparison so it was hard choosing between them. After I finally finished with all of the choosing of scenes it separated them. I kept the other shots in a separate little thing incase I needed some extra film. This took longer the you'd think so that's all of the work that I have up until now. Editing is going to take a while for me. I always contradict myself and end up redoing scenes. When I finish a scene I always end up looking back at it and changing it in some way. Ill either take something out and regret it or add something. Usually what happens is when I take out too much I don't have enough film to meet the time quota. Then of course ill either have to scrap some film to add on or go back and film more. Its a cycle I go through a lot. I'm trying my best not to let this happen again and its looking pretty good. Well just have to see if I keep it up.

Film day #2 Part 1

 Today is our second day of filming for this project. We had planned to get some extra work done today. First things first I had to get ready for Sonalis house. All I had to do was get changed, grab cloths, and get over there. After gathering everything up I headed over to Sonalis to get to work. When I got to Sonalis we started to discuss what we had to do. We had a few different ideas what to start with. We decided to start with some of our long takes. These were takes that were hard to follow the script for. so for most of these we improvised what we were saying but still staying on the topic. A long take in my opinion is one that was more than 30 seconds. We had a good amount of these scenes. The reason for so many long takes is because of how long our film was.   Schedule March 2nd - I will start finalizing all my plans and ideas for filming and let my film crew know I will start soon. March 4th - I will start filming the beginning scenes that I only need to set my phone up somewhere. For example scenes like the beginning scenes that the credits will flow over. March 7th - I will finish up the filming that I can do alone and start to focus on the bigger scenes and shots. My parents and siblings will be the film crew that will help me here and there.  March 12th-15th - During this time I plan on finishing up most of the filming that I need to do. There will be some scenes that I want to switch out and redo, so this will not be the last time filming.  March 16th - I will start to upload all my shots and clips to OpenShot. This is my editing soft where that I will be using.  March 18th - After uploading all of my shots, I will look at all of my shots to see if they are good or not. The movie starts off at a zoo it looks like. There are a few credit scenes that show up with actors and important roles. What images are prioritized during the opening sequences?
