Schedule: I will be out of town all of winter break so we will have to film after I come back in January.  I come back January 1st.  School then starts shortly after, so we will have to get together after school and on the weekends to finish our short film.

01/07/2021: On Friday, we will start filming the scenes at home.

01/08/2021:  On Saturday, we will go out to film the scenes at the beach and park.

01/09/2021: On Sunday, we will film any remaining scenes.

01/10/2021: We will start our editing process in class.

01/12/2021: We will continue editing.

01/14/2021: We will make our final edits for the short film.

Location:  Throughout our short film, there will be 3 locations in which we film at. The 3 different locations are, the house (either mine or Sonali’s), the beach, and the park.

Participants:  The two actors in our short film are Sonali and I.  Other participants in this filming process will be two of our friends, Paola and Alexa.  They will be helping us film certain scenes that Sonali and I can’t do alone.

Health and Safety: While using the knife we will keep a safe distance.  To be extra safe, film from different angles and shots to make it seem as if the knife is close, when in reality it actually isn’t.

Props: Many props will be used in our short film because there are a lot of scenes where I am getting abused by Sonali.  To start, we will be using a knife in our film.  The knife will be used about two times in our play when I am quote on quote “drunk.”  Another prop that will be used more than once is an empty wine bottle.  Lastly, other props that will be used throughout our short film is, a TV remote and a shoe or sandal.

Costumes:  Costumes in our short film will be very casual.  Outfits may vary when filming at the beach and during the picnic.   

Back up plans:  If it rains on the days we film at the beach and park, we will have to reschedule our filming days based on the weather.

Film day #2 Part 1

 Today is our second day of filming for this project. We had planned to get some extra work done today. First things first I had to get ready for Sonalis house. All I had to do was get changed, grab cloths, and get over there. After gathering everything up I headed over to Sonalis to get to work. When I got to Sonalis we started to discuss what we had to do. We had a few different ideas what to start with. We decided to start with some of our long takes. These were takes that were hard to follow the script for. so for most of these we improvised what we were saying but still staying on the topic. A long take in my opinion is one that was more than 30 seconds. We had a good amount of these scenes. The reason for so many long takes is because of how long our film was. Final Task: More Info

  Schedule March 2nd - I will start finalizing all my plans and ideas for filming and let my film crew know I will start soon. March 4th - I will start filming the beginning scenes that I only need to set my phone up somewhere. For example scenes like the beginning scenes that the credits will flow over. March 7th - I will finish up the filming that I can do alone and start to focus on the bigger scenes and shots. My parents and siblings will be the film crew that will help me here and there.  March 12th-15th - During this time I plan on finishing up most of the filming that I need to do. There will be some scenes that I want to switch out and redo, so this will not be the last time filming.  March 16th - I will start to upload all my shots and clips to OpenShot. This is my editing soft where that I will be using.  March 18th - After uploading all of my shots, I will look at all of my shots to see if they are good or not.   What titles are displayed in the opening sequences? The 20th century Fox is shown in the very beginning of the film. There is also the name that shows up after few scenes. The movie starts off at a zoo it looks like. There are a few credit scenes that show up with actors and important roles. What images are prioritized during the opening sequences? Images with animals are heavily prioritized in the beginning of the film. showing beautiful animals prancing and moving around everywhere. What connotations do these images carry? These images carry a free and fresh connotation. They have cute animals jumping around in front of the cammera. How does the film establish a feeling from the genre from the outset?
