Filming Day #2 Part 3

 Today Sonali and I finally got together to film the rest of our project.  We didn't get to finish all of the filming because I had some family plans.  The only scene we have left to film is the last scene.  In this scene, Sonali pulls out a knife which causes me to push her. When I push her, she is supposed to hit the counter and die. Obviously she can't actually hit the counter so we are going to need the help from editing and non-diegetic sounds. This will be for a later day to come since we didn't get to film that today.  Today's filming included the two long takes in our film.  Each one of these long takes were around 30 to 40 seconds long.  We had to film both of this long takes about three times because we kept messing up. When filming the long take where I walk in on Sonali laying in bed with a bottle of wine, we ended up going off script.  We were trying so hard to stay on script that it kept messing us up. On the last take, we just freestyled a bit.  When we were looking back at the clip we actually really liked it because the acting was good. Yeah we didn't say everything we wanted to say but we still got the point across with the dialogue we used. The same situation happened for the long take where I am saying that Sonali needs to get some help.  Along with these long takes, we filmed the short clips for our montage of good and bad moments together.  The only scene we weren't able to film was when we are walking on the beach.  It was pouring all day which prevented us from filming that scene.  The next time we get together to film, we will film the beach scene.
